Muir’s Morgans was established in
1995, with the purchase of a yearling Morgan filly
named Sunup Larkspur from Liz Banks-Vanderhoef of
Sunup Morgans. Little did we know then how this
purchase would change our lives forever. So much has
happened since then and we are confident that the
best is yet to come. Our herd has now grown to over
20 registered Morgans, more barns and paddocks,
larger feed bills and a whole lot more work. Despite
it all, we are very proud of our herd and always
take pride in promoting our stock and the Morgan
breed in general.
Currently, we stand an exceptional stallion, have a consistent broodmare
band and breeding program and a nice selection of
young stock. With our work load it is difficult for
us to travel to the larger rated Morgan shows, so we
show on the local open show circuit and promote our
Morgans there. The shows may be closer to home but
there is still stiff competition and victories are
well deserved. Nonetheless, we continue to expose
exhibitors and spectators alike, to the versatility
and beauty of our breed, usually with Championship
results.
In 2003, we added a 60x120 indoor
arena to our growing facilities. It sure makes
working with the youngsters easier during our long,
cold winters. Along with several barns filled with
box stalls, safe paddocks and pastures we have an
active operation. We pride ourselves on the
individual care of each horse and customer, no
matter whether a first time buyer or a return
customer with a mare to cover. If you’re looking for
a show prospect to a trail companion, we have
something for you to consider. Check out the "sale
page" here for a brief overview, but remember;
experiencing these horses in person is always the
best idea.
Please feel free to email or call
